Supporting Equestrians

sponsored riders

With equestrian buildings at the heart of our business as well as being horse owners ourselves, the Olson family is dedicated to supporting grassroots riders in their development. Meet our sponsored riders below.

David Rumsey

Horses have been a major part of David's life from a very young age, when his grandmother took him to the local riding stables for lessons. Throughout his school years he would beg and borrow ponies to ride from friends to compete in pony club activities. At the age of eighteen David developed his love of dressage following the purchase of his first horse "Marco".

A 'few' years on and with the help of several top international and Olympic team dressage riders, including Pammy Hutton, Hans Heinrich Meyer Zu Strohen, and for the last 12 or so years Carl Hester, David has developed his knowledge of training and producing many different types of horses.

Now established as a British Dressage registered Judge, David shares his expertise and love of horses with clients who want to get the very best out of their equine partners at any level – whether they ride themselves or prefer David to train and ride for them.

Jevon Gilham

Jevon Gilham trains and competes Olson Timber Building's horse Piropo Pagan. He has had much success competing in showing classes, British Dressage and also the MCI competitions. Piropo Pagan is being aimed at the European Championships for Iberian Horses which this year takes place in The Netherlands in October.

Jevon has great empathy with all horses and is particularly skilled at starting and producing young horses.
