Nicola is the founder of Sparrow Oast Dressage Training & Livery and a valued ambassador for Olson Timber Buildings.
A Grand Prix dressage rider, Pilates instructor, groundwork specialist and coach, Nicola is passionate about horse and rider biomechanics. Her holistic approach combines expertise across multiple disciplines to help every horse-and-rider partnership reach its full potential.
Committed to understanding the individual needs of every horse and rider, Nicola's approach promotes confidence, well being and long-term performance through thoughtful, personalised coaching. Nicola and Pablo are currently competing successfully at Elementary dressage, and the partnership continues to go from strength to strength as they build trust, confidence and look ahead to an exciting future
Blue Ocean SJ has an impressive background and is a truly talented and versatile horse.
Born in Menorca, he was classically trained there and, alongside his owner and trainer, became part of a show team travelling throughout the Balearic Islands and performing in public displays.
Since coming to the UK, Blue Ocean SJ has continued to showcase his versatility, competing in dressage competitions and performing as part of a theatre show team.
Now with Yolanda Olson at Sparrow Oast, Blue Ocean SJ is enjoying a new chapter, and we’re delighted to see this talented horse as part of the Olson Timber Buildings team.
Piropo Pagan is a fully registered grey Pura Raza Española (PRE) gelding, foaled in 2015. As a Purebred Spanish Horse, his lineage follows the strict registration guidelines maintained by the Spanish Stud Book (LG ANCCE), ensuring his pedigree traces entirely back to recognised Spanish breeding lines.
Pablo is based and trained at Sparrow Oast and is ridden by Nicola Bell, with the partnership going from strength to strength in dressage.
Through dedicated training, hard work and a strong partnership between horse and rider, Pablo is achieving great things in the sport and continuing to develop as an exciting dressage horse.
Sanciano is an exciting three-year-old mare by the renowned stallion Sandro Hit, with an impressive pedigree and a very promising future in the show ring.
Sanciano is based with leading showing producer Scott Dixon in Chilham, Kent, where she continues to develop her education and competition career.
Despite her young age, Sanciano has already achieved notable success, qualifying for Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) in 2025 and successfully qualifying again for HOYS in 2026.
Her consistent performances and quality have established her as an exciting young mare to watch.
With her elegant presence, expressive movement and willing attitude, Sanciano continues to progress from strength to strength.
Sanciano was crowned Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) in-hand supreme champion at the National Pony Society Summer Championships, following an impressive performance under renowned dressage rider and judge Carl Hester.
The three-year-old riding horse champion, owned by Olson Timber Buildings’ Scott Dixon, was selected from more than 20 section champions before taking the overall title. Hester praised Sanciano as “a fluid, beautiful mover” who effortlessly covered the ground and stood out throughout the evening’s judging.
The result secures Sanciano’s place at HOYS after winning the semi-final at the NPS Great British In-Hand Show, adding another significant achievement to what is already proving to be an exciting career.
